ONE-HOUR PHOTO: Taking or making photographs?

We live in an increasingly visual world. To train our eyes and develop an attitude for our world and the tools we carry in our pockets on a daily basis – this is what this online course is all about.

For the actual training, we concentrate on the essentials, so that after one hour you have grasped the essence of photography. If you then have become interested in a more professional view of the subject, I have selected further recommendations for you.

My name is Andreas and I’m your lecturer in this course. I am a professor of photography and art in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have held various one-man shows throughout Brazil, participated in group exhibits and have been working as a curator. In May 2018 I will have an exhibition in Berlin.

This could be your stepping stone to the ever more important form of visual communication in our networked age. Be it in private networking, at your job or for your business, good photos will make a difference. And that’s what this course is about. Have fun!

I participated in Andreas’ one-hour photography course for beginners. You really learn the very basics of photography within this one hour, from golden rules (“don’t take photos, make photos”) over the Golden Cut to technical things as focus settings, etc. But the money worth is the homework assignment: you have to provide 5 photos by you together with a description of their history of origins. Andreas takes the time to comment your photos and gives you professional hints. Great!

Andreas’ course “one-hour photography” is good for beginners to know about the basics of photography. If you want to start with a new hobby or to give them a professional look, this course helps you by your first and basic steps in the professional direction. This course is for anyone looking to gain a foundation of skills to elevate their photography. It is not about technical settings or equipment, it’s purely a study of the most valuable photographic basics. It gives you something to think about before taking pictures, which distinguishes remarkable photos from just any photos.

Great were the many practical communicated clearly examples and historical backgrounds. Especially great was the detailed and personal feedback.
